The Peak Experience online auction is open to all fans and supporters of Lassen Volcanic National Park and Lassen Park Foundation (LPF) and beyond who register to bid. All items are available for bid via smartphone, tablet or computer. Each item has a description and lot number. Persons desiring to bid must do so by registering to bid and accessing the Greater Giving platform. Each increase in bid must meet or exceed the minimum increment assigned to each item.
PRO TIP– Let the system bid for you. Place max bids on your favorites by utilizing the “Max Bid” tab located within each item. Set it and forget it!
The online Silent Auction will open on Wednesday, September 14, 2022. The Silent Auction packages will close at approximately 6:30 pm on Saturday, September 17, 2022.
Bidding on all Live Auction items will occur only at the in-person event from 6:30pm - 8:30pm on Saturday, September 17, 2022. Live Auction packages will not be available for online bidding. LPF has the right to adjust the Live auction close times based on the evening program.
All items must be purchased at the close of the auction and must be picked up at the LPF office located at 310 Hemsted Dr., Suite 210, in Redding, California. If an item cannot be picked up at the LPF office, then we will ship it to the winning bidder at the bidders expense. We will contact winning bidders the week of September 19 to discuss our office pick-up dates and times that adhere to local safety measures.
All items not picked up and paid for by Monday, October 3, 2022 shall be resold by the Peak Experience Auction or donated back to the 2023 Peak Experience Auction. By bidding, the bidder agrees to be bound by these conditions of purchase.
ALL SALES ARE FINAL, NO REFUNDS OR EXCHANGES WILL BE MADE. All payments must be made by credit card (AMEX, Discover, MasterCard, or VISA) by the end of the event September 17, 2022.
LPF does not warrant and expressly denies responsibility for, and in no event shall be responsible or liable for the accuracy of the description of the items offered, or the correctness of the catalogue, including, but not limited to: the origin, rarity, age, rating, genuineness, quantity, aging potential, present and future quality or condition of the wines or other lots described. All statements by LPF are merely statements of opinion and are not to be relied upon by prospective purchasers as warranties or representation of fact.
All items are sold “AS IS.”
All trip, dining and activity packages are sold as described. Substitutions of destinations, itineraries, facilities, accommodations, dates or associated activities are not available through LPF and requests for same will not be accepted.
Any trips or events comprising all or part of an auction lot shall, unless otherwise specified in the lot description, be subject to convenient scheduling by the lot donors and the successful bidder. Attention: Some trips and events are date specific and cannot be rescheduled.
Auction service items must be used prior to the expiration date listed on the certificate or, if no expiration date is explicitly stated, within one year of this auction, unless otherwise agreed to by LPF. LPF does not make any representation of warranty and is not responsible for the quality or usability of any items sold.
For federal income tax purposes, the Lassen Park Foundation is classified as a tax-exempt corporation under Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(3). Bidders may be entitled to deduct a portion of their payments for auction lots as a charitable contribution. Each bidder should consult his or her tax advisor regarding the actual fair market value and the deductibility for state and federal income tax purposes. LPF will provide documentation as required by law following the auction.
