WE LOVE OUR PETS!  Pets are part of our families. They're dear to our hearts, and they love us with all of our faults, unconditionally. That's why we're celebrating National Love Your Pet Day on February 20, 2021.  

Many of us enjoy taking our pets out for a stroll, a hike, or an exploration excursion. And yet, a national park is not a place to bring your pet. You probably knew (or you do now) that pet access is very limited on national park property, and with good reason. Protecting the special lands included in national parks is a primary goal, and this includes maintaining the delicate ecological balance that the native plant and animal species have designed for themselves. The unfortunate reality is that our pets can upset that balance quicker than we sometimes realize. 

But we're stuck at home in a pandemic with our pets... So, let's make the most of it!

Lassen Park Foundation is proud to present this fun, remote event for your enjoyment! We hope you will join us in celebrating the love and companionship our pets bring us from the comfort of your home by participating in our Love Your Pet Day non-event. 

We spend thousands of dollars on our pets every year. Food and healthcare for our little friends is a must, but sometimes we go a bit overboard. Pampering, clothing, toys, or pillows are just a few ways we splurge to show our love. This year let's go back to the basics! Instead of shopping or paying for a day at the pet-spa, spend some quality one-on-one time with your pet and send the money you saved to Lassen Park Foundation instead. It's a win-win situation!

We have come up with all sort of ways that your pet adoration can help fund Lassen Park Foundation's projects and programs in 2021, and you don't even have to leave your home to attend a fundraising event to do it. Just skip the whimsical pet spending, write us a check and drop it in the mail. Then, cuddle up with your little buddy and feel the love.
